"Through Hell and Back"

Films: They Found Hell (2015)

Alias: Various, notably Charon and the Collector

Type: Mystical

Location: Eldritch location/Haunted home/Forest/Civilized area

Height/Weight: Ranges from that of average dogs to twice that of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: No one asks to be in Hell. Okay, some might, but the majority doesn't. But then there are those days where you end up in Hell, and you aren't even dead yet. Tough times, they are, but there must be the will to fight your way out.

History: A teleportation accident causes several college students to wind up in the absolute worst place ever. That's right, they opened up a portal to Hell. The good news is that it’s all less fire or brimstone and more a series of haunted houses and derelict towns full of demons, possessed folk, a brutal torture tactician known as the Collector, and Charon, the unflappable ferryman of the Underworld who will NOT let them out until they pay the piper for it.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: A little while after the Collector gets jumped by his own death trap and impaled upon some rubble, only two of the people survive to the end, and one of them decapitates Charon so that both he and his girlfriend can get to the newly created portal out. Charon menaces them again as a winged Archdemon, but somehow, both are able to make it, with the girl going into the portal and the guy ending up all the way in Russia. It worked out, all things considered.

Powers/Abilities: Possession, immortality, the ability to become more monstrous-looking.

Weakness: Anything conventional will slow them down certainly.

Scariness Factor: 3-It's all hampered by bad CGI, but it's nowhere near as bad as other Syfy productions. The demons here are numerous, often full of teeth, and are all out to get you. They come in many shapes and sizes, and just get worse with an increase to the latter. Charon is more the lawful evil type, but Heavens help you if you cross him. Though at least he's more bearable on the eyes than the Collector, who is a horribly grotesque man with an axe and multiple faces.

Trivia: -The lead constantly brings up Hercules when fighting Charon. This is in spite of the fact that Herc merely scared Charon into letting him into the Underworld to fetch Cerberus, not kill him.

-The Latin on the gates in this film read "omens relinquite spes, o vos intrantes". If one changes the first word to "omnes", then you got yourself the Latin for "All hope abandon, ye who enter here", a notable phrase from "The Divine Comedy" used to describe the entrance to Hell.

Just past this door, no less.

Nice horn manicure! I mean, that's one positive.

Yeah. Just like that.

Man-y Faces, the horrible reboot.

"You're going to Brazil."
"You can't just shoot a hole into the surface of Mars-I mean Earth."

Demo-CHUNK.

Seems that the Night King took up a new line of work.

"FREELOADERS!"
Their version of gains? Wingspan.

Bad dog!

The most effort wrestling's put into itself thus far.

Did we step into a Heavy Metal Album?
